Friends of Library host study break with undergrad advisory committee

April 14, 2014

Just when students were getting to that frantic stage--deeply involved in projects and papers with exams on the horizon--Cabell Library Undergraduate Advisory Committee (CLUAC) and the Friends of VCU Libraries hosted a study break to help students recharge.

The line was steady for the two-hour April 15 event. Carbs, sugar, coffee and sodas were on the buffet. And, the donuts were a big hit.

Thanks are due to Friends of the Library board members Kate Peeples Brown, Hatley Mason and John Mahoney, who attended.

"It really was a rewarding experience to have a chance to give some small help to our students," said Mason.

Added Mahoney, "Even more amazing was the communications network-- they ebbed and surged in total synchrony with the supply of food!  The CLUAC students were marvelous.  What a wonderful group. They make one proud to be a part of VCU."
