Tammi Moe began working at VCUQatar in 2004 as the Assistant Library Director and is now the Head of Digital Collections and Archives and Liaison to the Art History program. She is also the Lead Principal Investigator for the Qatar Unified Imaging Project, an initiative working to identify, document and make accessible Qatar's primary source materials as a national and international prototype for digital collections.
Moe was also selected to design the Digital Humanities Research Center for the new National Museum of Qatar opening in 2014 and named one of Qatar Foundation's 12 Achievers for her service to Qatar's community.
Before joining the VCUQatar Library, Tammi was the Senior Research Analyst at the Colorado State Library, studying the impact of public libraries on the 'Digital Divide' and the impact of digital collections for museums and archives. She has an M.L.I.S. and a B.A. in Art History specializing in Visual Resource Management and Islamic Image Classification. Her research interests include tribal cultures, imagery of the Ottoman Empire, digital humanities and archival bindings.
