Education

Tammi graduated with an MLIS, emphasis in Archives, from the University of Denver in 2003.  For her undergraduate education, Tammi attended the University of Colorado, Denver earning a BFA in Art History, specializing in Visual Resource Management and Islamic Image Classification.

Previous Professional Experience

Tammi Moe is the Lead Principal Investigator for the Qatar Unified Imaging Project (QUIP), an initiative born from the needs of the academic community working in Qatar. QUIP received $1.2M in grant funding to identify, document and make accessible Qatar's primary source materials as a national and international prototype for digital collections. Tammi began at VCUQatar in 2004 as the Assistant Library Director. She now serves as Head of Digital Collections and Archives and Liason to the Art History program. Tammi was seconded to the Qatar Museum Authority from 2010-2012 to design the Digital Humanities Research Center for the new National Museum of Qatar opening in 2014. Tammi was selected as one of Qatar Foundation's 12 Achievers for her service to Qatar's community.

Before joining the VCUQatar Library, Tammi was the Senior Research Analyst  at the Colorado State Library, Library Research Services studying the impact of public libraries on the 'Digital Divide' and the impact of digital collections for museums and archives.
