Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is a Web-based business data research service from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Developed to support faculty research at Wharton, it has become a leading source of economic and financial data for academic research institutions around the world.
WRDS has extended access to all graduate students at the doctoral and masters levels to support research among MBA and masters students in business and related fields. Accounts for faculty, staff, and graduate students allow unlimited remote access to all of the resources VCU subscribes to via WRDS, including Compustat and CRSP. Accounts can be requested at http://wrds.wharton.upenn.edu. All VCU students, faculty, and staff can also access WRDS at the library.
