August 2011 - Monthly Entry

by Brown, Roy E. | No Comments
Well August has arrived and with it the start of the Fall Semester.  If this is your first visit to this blog, please don't hesitate to subscribe and stay up with all the posts I will make throughout the year.  The purpose of this blog is to keep the students, staff and faculty up to date on things going on at the library that may be useful, while also alerting readers to articles and other items that concern the field of nursing.  I hope you find this blog useful and will be a repeat reader.

I hope that everyone had a good summer, even if the break may have been a bit too brief.  If you are returning for another semester, welcome back.  If you are new and just getting acclimated to VCU and the MCV campus, let me be one of the first to welcome you to campus and urge you to contact me if you should have any questions when it comes to research or completing one of your class assignments.  If I can help I will.   You will find my contact information below.

nursingboard.pngI have made some changes to the Nursing Research Guide, please check it out if you get the chance.   If you have any suggestions as to how the guide could be improved or if you see any errors, please let me know. Some changes made were:

  • I have added a page with handouts that may be helpful when you have trouble using a database
  • A video/multimedia page
  • I have also added additional resources to each section so that they are up to date.
