I know many
of you are in the midst of clinical rotations which means time spent on
pre-assessments on top of all of your other classwork. Understanding that this
may mean having to flip through several books and other resources, I have
created a clinical rotations
research guide. The guide
provides online resources, including electronic books, covering the following
topics:
· Drug Information - Complete monographs, as well as information concerning interactions.
· Background Information - The resources on this topic will provide information on interventions and conditions that a patient may have that you may need information on. This information comes from credible sources and citations are provided.
· Consumer Health Information - There are many resources provided that cover medical topics in language that patients and their families can understand. The patient information sheets that you can get are not just in English and Spanish, but are in many languages.
· Cultural Competence - There are resources provided that helps you understand those of different cultures and their views when it comes to medical care.

This guide can also be accessed through the main nursing research guide too. There is a link provided on the left in the useful links box (Link is highlighted in Red).

Please take a look at the guide and if you have any suggestions on how it can be improved, please do not hesitate to let me know. As I find more resources that I think may be useful the resource guide may change.
