Featured Database Resource
An entry to this blog that I am going to try to make on a regular basis is one that highlights various databases, with some instruction on how to use them. The library has several databases that may be useful to those doing research in the field of nursing other than CINAHL and PubMed. The first resource I have chosen to highlight is Global Health on CAB Direct. This database is really useful for those looking for information on health issues with an international perspective. This database has citations and abstracts from the international literature of public health. It has a particularly strong emphasis on medical entomology, human nutrition, vector control, and medicinal plants. I have highlighted some facts about the database below and you will also find a short video giving some tips on how to use the database. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you should have any questions using this database.
