Please MOP the floor in the computer lab in the ground floor
FREQUENTLY!
Walter Sampson, Assistant University Librarian for Policy Development , who oversees building issues, replies....
Housekeeping for Cabell Library is performed under contract administered by VCU Contract Administration. The contract calls for semi-monthly cleanings for all floors including the computer lab. The Computer Lab is managed by the Academic Technology Help Desk, which should generate work requests for extra cleaning.

Speaking of mopping, I don't think I've ever seen the floor in the first floor bathroom clean. Shame for what's otherwise the library's newest-looking bathroom.
I've noticed this too, and I thought it had to do with infrequent moppings, until one day I entered the restroom just after it had been mopped and already the floor around the toilets was looking very dingy. This is how I came to realize that the reason the floors look so rough is that the traffic is so high in those bathrooms that they get all dirted up before they even dry. I guess the only solutions are 1. closing the restrooms for a while to give them time to dry, or 2. darker tile next time.
