Grand Rounds: Healthy Places Leading to Healthy People: Community Engagement Improves Health for All

VCU Libraries will host the Public Health Grand Rounds: " Healthy Places Leading to Health People: Community Engagement Improves Health for All" on Friday, May 11th at the Tompkins McCaw Library, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, in Room 2-010. CDC's Healthy Places goals examine a broad spectrum of health issues associated with communities, homes, schools, workplaces, healthcare facilities, institutions, and transportation/recreational facilities. This approach seeks to address the potential human health impacts of physical space and environmental exposure. The May 11th Public Health Grand Rounds program will focus on Healthy Communities, the broadest CDC Healthy Places goal area. Healthy communities are places where public health systems, social infrastructure and policies support health and essential public health services (including quality health care) that are readily available to all. Registration is available online. For more information contact Shannon Jones at sdjones@vcu.edu or 804 828-0626.
