Index to Current Urban Documents

The publisher accumulates full-text documents from city and county governments on an annual basis. Each volume includes the documents received during that year, e.g., volume 29 consists of documents accumulated during 2001-2002. The documents themselves may be from prior years. Volumes 1-28 are on microfiche; volumes 29+ are online and on CD-ROM.

Volumes 1 - 28

The index is in annual volumes. The documents are on microfiche.

1. Search by topic or geographic location in the print index - Cabell Library Documents, 1st floor, Call Number: Z7165.U5 I654.
2. Note the microfiche number for the document(s), e.g., LSCA-0659.
3. Go to the 3rd floor to retrieve the microfiche.

Volumes 29+

These volumes are on CD-ROM discs on reserve in Media & Reserve Services, Cabell Library 3rd floor. The discs are organized by region.

1. Each CD-ROM contains the full index. Insert a disc into the CD-ROM drive.
2. Click on Start, and browse the CD drive.
3. Double-click on the file named "icudHome.pdf."
4. Search by location or by subject.
5. Note the filename and location of the full text document. If the file is on the CD you are searching, you will be able to click on the filename and the document will open. Otherwise, insert the correct CD.

Region Definitions:

Region 1: New England - Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont

Region 2: Mid Atlantic - Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia

Region 3: Mid West - Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin

Region 4: South - Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas

Region 5: West - Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming

Region 6: Canada - Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan
