Online Video Screening: "A DVD History of the U.S. Constitution"
In celebration of Constitution Day, VCU Libraries recommends, from our streaming video collections, "A DVD History of the U.S. Constitution" from Ambrose Video comes in 47 segments totally about two hours and you can pick and choose your favorite parts. Once connected via this link above to the Ambrosevideo site, click on the title to access the streaming videos. You can watch this anytime, anywhere with an Internet connection, headphones or speakers, and a VCU eID.
A free, interactive webcast from the National Constitution Center airs all day on Friday, September 16, 2011 and can be viewed from any computer with an Internet connection and speakers--no VCU eID required.
The NCC's Constitution Hall Pass was viewed by over a million students on Constitution Day last year! This FREE, fun and fascinating webcast allows teachers and students to learn more about this historic day while chatting live with the National Constitution Center’s education staff. All you need is an internet connection to participate! This year’s NEW episode, Constitution Hall Pass: Freedom of Expression, brings the story of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights to life and celebrates artists, writers and musicians throughout history who have exercised their right to free expression. as you visit the library! The video montage features a variety
of clips, from the “Schoolhouse Rock” Preamble
to a segment of Barbara Jordan’s 1974 “Constitution
Speech.”
