Warning Concerning Copyright Restrictions

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of copies and other reproductions of copyrighted material. Any individual who uses a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use" may be liable for copyright infringement. This includes printouts from full text databases and electronic journals. In some instances the library has agreed to finite terms and conditions in regard to the use and distribution of electronic resources. Signed copies of these agreements are located in the VCU Libraries Acquisitions Department and may be reviewed by contacting us through the link at the bottom of this statement.
