Magic is all around us. You might even say it is hidden in plain sight.
I discovered all of the subjects in this exhibit in Richmond, VA and most of them were less than four blocks from my home. Paying close attention to these magnificent worlds has made it take longer for me to get to my various destinations. But that has made all the difference in the journey.
May your journey be filled with the magic that is all around you.
Jeanne Schlesinger had always channeled her creative energy into music from the time she began playing the violin at the age of nine. Forty years later, she took her first photography class, and she has never looked at the world the same way since. She studied with Margie Nea, Carlie Collier, and Lynda Richardson locally, all of whom are visual poets who helped guide Jeanne on her journey to discovering her own style. Whether or not she has her camera with her, Jeanne has learned to see with her heart and revels in the chance to share her heartfelt vision with others.
Schlesinger is Assistant Professor and Instructional Developer for the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.
