The VCU Friends of the Library

The VCU Friends of the Library are a circle of annual donors who foster gifts, donations, endowments and memorials to both James Branch Cabell Library and Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences. The Friends also serve as a community gateway to VCU by sponsoring some of the most popular and respected lectures and events in Central Virginia, open to all in the community. Engagement with VCU Libraries offers opportunities for donors to:
- take an active role in VCU’s future while giving back to others
- promote and foster the success of students and faculty throughout the University
- invigorate and enrich the cultural vitality of the entire Central Virginia community
- stay up-to-date on research, innovation and advancements at VCU
- explore new ideas, debate, learn with students and faculty through engaging and public programs
- connect with the metro literary scene at readings, book signings and more
- be informed via a monthly e-newsletter
