Library Services During Intersession

The VCU Libraries staff are pleased to assist you with your Intersession 2012-13 classes! We look forward to helping make these classes a success through the use of our onsite and online resources. This resource will help you navigate services during this special session.

Library Hours

The Intersession hours are available on the Web site. Please note that the hours for VCU Winter Closing Period (December 23 - January 2) are different from the Intersession hours.

Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services

The VCU Libraries interlibrary loan and document delivery services will not operate during the VCU Winter Closing from December 22, 2012 through January 2, 2013.

The time required to obtain materials from other institutions increases during December and January due to winter breaks, holiday delays and increased end-of-semester workloads. With this in mind, some of your requested materials may not be obtained until January 2013.

Contact Resource Delivery Services at libjbcrds@vcu.edu or (804) 828-1115 if you have special needs or questions.

Special Collections and Archives

Special Collections and Archives will be closed during VCU Winter Closing from December 22 - January 2. Special arrangements for access may be requested on a limited basis by contacting Special Collections at libjbcsca@vcu.edu or 828-1108.

Security

VCU security officers will be on site in Cabell Library. See security or library staff if you need assistance or would like to contact the VCU Security Escort Service (828-WALK or 828-9255).

Starbucks Coffee

Starbucks at Cabell Library will be open to serve you beverages and food this Intersession. Hours will be made public soon.

Vending Machines

Beverage and snack vending machines are available in the Basement Level. Most machines accept both cash and RamBucks, though the Amp energy drink vending machine does not accept RamBucks.
