Walk-in Research & Writing Clinics
Working on a research paper? Need some direction for finding relevant scholarly sources? Not sure when to paraphrase and when to quote?
Come to the Walk-In Research & Writing Clinics, co-sponsored by VCU Libraries and the Writing Center. The Walk-In Research & Writing Clinics are designed to help anyone optimize their research and/or writing performance - undergraduates, graduates, faculty and staff. Anytime the clinic is open, a librarian and Writing Center consultant will be there, ready to give one-on-one assistance as you find library resources or work through the writing process. You can drop in for quick questions or for more in-depth discussions – saving yourself time and stress!
What can you expect when you walk-in?
The Clinics, staffed by both reference librarians and writing consultants, offer flexible learning support found nowhere else on campus: a one-stop shop for your research and writing needs. Expect to discuss your needs one-on-one with a librarian and/or Writing Center consultant and then spend some time working individually on your project. The Clinic Staff will return to check on your progress and offer additional advice. Researchers and writers are encouraged to stop by anytime the clinics are open and are encouraged to bring laptops.
