M. Thomas Inge Collection of Comic Arts Reference Journals

Animation, Popular Culture and Comic Related Journals: Part A

Beginning in the 1980s, Dr. M. Thomas Inge, an expert on popular culture and the history of the comic arts, began donating reference journals to Special Collections and Archives. The collection includes fanzines, newsletters, journals, and numerous other periodicals related to the comic arts. These periodical titles focus on the history and art of comic books and comic strips, cartoonists, comic book and comic strip characters, animation, and other aspects of the comic arts and popular culture.

These journals are housed in Special Collections and Archives, James Branch Cabell Library, VCU Libraries.
