Letter from Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy

July 6, 1961

Robert F. Kennedy (1925-1968) served as the nation's Attorney General under his brother, President John F. Kennedy (1917-1963). This cartoon focused on a ruling by a federal judge regarding public school integration in Prince Edward County, Virginia -- a ruling that the Attorney General found unfavorable. The cartoon appeared in the Richmond Times-Dispatch on June 16, 1961.
