Robert R. Moton High School

  Robert R. Moton High School (its name in 1962) for blacks showing the sign found in front of all public county schools at the time Dr. Peeples took his series of photographs.   Historical Marcker, Robert R. Moton High School for blacks on the southside of Farmville on U.S. Route 15, the site where students went out on strike against school conditions. It was known as Mary E. Branch Elementary School for Negroes at the time Dr. Peeples took his photographs, 1961-1963.
