Rules and Procedures
All patrons must sign the Patron Registration Form. Patrons may be asked to leave their coats, briefcases, bags or other bulky items in a designated area for security reasons. Patrons may request items by filling out a Request Form completely, including title and call number. Patrons will then wait in the Reading Room while staff retrieves the item(s) requested. All materials must be viewed in the Reading Room. No materials housed in Special Collections and Archives circulate (except for SECURED AREA materials -- faculty may make check out SECURED AREA materials for up to three weeks -- please see staff for more information.) When finished with your materials, return them to a staff member.
- Absolutely no food or drink is allowed in Special Collections
and Archives.
- Patrons are asked to use pencils for taking notes; pens are not allowed.
- Staff members must approve all items to be photocopied. Manuscript materials
and fragile items must be photocopied by Special Collections staff. Materials
which are in danger of being damaged cannot be photocopied.
- For additional information regarding copyright issues and publication
rights, please consult staff.
