What a Library Means to Me

When I go to a library
My imagination runs free.
I see faces and places
That made history.

I look to my left,
And whom do I see?
It's General Washington
Leading the troops to victory.

I turn the corner,
And guess who's there?
It's the Wright Brothers
Soaring through the air.

I look to my right
And where do I go?
On top of Mount Fuji
With the whole world below.

I look behind me
And where do I stand?
Aboard the Titanic
Hoping to spot land.
