Preparing for Intersession and Spring Semester

Reserves Catalog Changeovers

The Intersession Reserve Catalog will display beginning December 21.
The Spring Semester Reserve Catalog will display beginning January 9.

To review previous semesters' Catalogs, see
Course Reserves Information for Faculty .

Deadlines

To ensure processing by the beginning of Spring semester, please submit your requests early !
Remember, at the beginning of a semester, the average processing time is one week. Longer times are
required for recalled materials on loan or new purchases.
Items not reactivated will be removed from the Reserves Catalog and returned to either the Libraries'
collections or to your campus address, unless you requested to pick your items up.

Textbooks

Your textbook on Reserve can ease student financial burden and provide a convenient copy for oncampus
reference. This practice is encouraged by the VCU Textbook Sales Policy ( VCU Board of Visitors,2/2007).

Linking to VCU Libraries Resources

Enhance your Blackboard or course web site with direct links to reserves or VCU Libraries' online collections. If
you are creating an online or distance education course, we can assist you with digital access or acquiring digital
versions of your course material.

Linking to Reserves
Linking to e-Books

Consult with us about how to create persistent links, link to online music or video resources and links through the

VCU proxy for off-campus authentication.
