  PubMed RSS Feeds Feature

Staying current with biomedical research just got easier! PubMed now offers the option to create an RSS feed so you can browse and manage your literature as you do email. RSS is a Web standard for the delivery of news and other frequently updated content provided by Web sites. An RSS reader (you probably already have one) is required to use this service on your computer to retrieve new items from PubMed.

RSS feeds allow you to easily stay on top of areas of interest. You can set up multiple feeds to track research interests in PubMed. PubMed RSS feeds will include new citations retrieved via stored PubMed searches since your last RSS reader session. As an example, if you are interested in keeping up with articles written by your VCU colleagues, you could create an RSS feed to see publications indexed in PubMed from VCU, and add this as a feed.

To set up an RSS feed:

Run your search in PubMed, then select "RSS Feed" from the "Send to" menu
