TML Multimedia Collaboration Room (MCR)
About the Multimedia Collaboration Room
The Multimedia Collaboration Room (MCR) is a self-service facility available to VCU faculty, staff, and students for multimedia computing and study. The MCR is located in the Tompkins-McCaw Library on the basement level in room B-037. Orientations to the MCR are available. Collaboration
The MCR offers study tables and chairs for collaboration and group study. Study chairs with tablet arms are also available. Groups may also use the coffeetable white board for collaboration and project planning. Dry-erase markers are available at the TML Service Desk.
Multimedia Computers and Equiment Available
The MCR houses five mulitmedia computers, special printers, and other equipment to support the production of digital media.

GIS
Geographic information systems (GIS) software is available in the MCR. This workstation is available by appointment only. Please contact the Tompkins-McCaw Library Service Desk at 828-0636 or libtmlcirc@vcu.edu for additional details.
Large Format Printer
Enroll in the Multimedia Collaboration Room Poster Printing Course on Blackboard to print you poster (see details below)
The MCR has a large format printer to support GIS research and to print posters from PowerPoint for faculty, students, and staff on the MCV Campus. Tompkins-McCaw Library’s large format printing service is conducted through Blackboard. You will need to enroll in the “Mulitmedia Collaboration Room Poster Printing” course to deposit your poster file in the digital drop box.
How to enroll: Login to Blackboard, select courses, search for the Multimedia Collaboration Room Poster Printing (LIBR-1-001-2009); click on the enroll button. For additional assistance with enrolling in the Multimedia Collaboration Room Poster Printing course, click here.
