Cate arrived at VCU in 2002 as the Head, Education Services at the Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences. In 2003, she became the Head of Education and User Services. She is currently serving as Interim Deputy Director. Prior to arriving in Richmond, Cate served as the Education Librarian at the Welch Medical Library, Johns Hopkins University, where she was the liaison librarian for Basic Sciences Departments and Distance Education Programs. Cate received an MLS from Indiana University Bloomington in 1997. Cate is an active member of the Medical Library Association.
