About This Collection

Books and monographs that are sensitive, valuable, or unusual are housed in Special Collections. These materials are stored in closed-stacks areas to ensure they receive the care they require -- many are quite fragile, and benefit from a light, temperature, and humidity controlled environment that may not be possible in the general collections.

As such, these materials are not available for circulation. They may be used in the Special Collections Reading Room during normal business hours. To make sure our collections last for generations to come, patrons should be aware of and follow policies for using Special Collections materials.
