Virginia Chapter of the American College of Nurse-Midwives - Region 4, Chapter 9
The Virginia Chapter of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, Region 4, Chapter 9, was established in 1984. The organization provided a means for its members to have a voice in the public arena regarding matters affecting nurse-midwifery. The American College of Nurse Midwifery is the national professional organization that speaks for its members on issues that cross state boundaries. It also has an accrediting arm for nurse-midwifery education programs and a branch for the certification of nurse-midwives. The following have served as chairman of the Virginia Chapter:
