Virginia Council of Associate Degree Nursing Program Heads
Associate Nursing Program Heads/directors met in Charlottesville in October 1991. A committee was appointed to draft bylaws and prepare a slate of officers. The purpose of the organization was to provide a forum to discuss common issues and resolve common problems of the seventeen associate degree nursing programs in Virginia. The group met again in February 1992. The bylaws were approved. Mildred Owings was elected Chair of VCADNPH. Ms. Owings is still chairing the group which meets 2 to 3 times per year. The group usually meets in the spring with the practical nursing program directors of Virginia to discuss common issues.
