Jenny Xie, winner of the 2019 Levis Reading Prize for Eye Level, reads from her book and then participates in a question-and-answer session with the audience. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event will be followed by a book sale and signing.

The event is free and open to all, but please register. Parking is available for a fee in the West Broad StreetWest Main Street and West Cary Street parking decks. For special accommodations, or to register offline, please call the VCU Libraries Events Office at (804) 828-0593.

About the Author

Jenny Xie was born in Hefei, China, and raised in New Jersey. Xie currently lives in New York and teaches at New York University. She was awarded the Walt Whitman Award of the Academy of American Poets as well as the Holmes National Poetry Prize from Princeton University, and was named a finalist for both the PEN Open Book Award and the National Book Awards for her work.
