Library Fest open house welcomes new Rams Monday, Aug. 21, 2 to 4 p.m.

The annual Library Fest open house takes place Monday, Aug. 21, 2 to 4 p.m. at James Branch Cabell Library. 

Part of Welcome Week, Library Fest is designed to introduce new Rams to library services and spaces and provide other essential information about campus safety and life. All are welcome. 

Participants can:  

  • Tour the library at 2, 2:30, 3 and 3:30 p.m. 
  • Sample food from VCU Dining Services’ locations  
  • Learn more about VCU Libraries' Special Collections and Archives  
  • Register your laptop with the VCU Police  
  • Explore the media-rich The Workshop  
  • Talk with staff from varied campus units 
  • Collect giveaways and get a chance to win a Hex Backpack/Laptop sleeve + WAE Mini Boombox or an iPad!

Co-sponsors are VCU Libraries, VCU Dining Services, Technology Support Services, RamTech.

Partners are VCU Police, Office of Sustainability, Writing Center, Campus Learning Center, Barnes & Noble @ VCU, The Well, Disability Support Services
