Yuki Hibben serves as part of the leadership team for Special Collections and Archives and is committed to engaging students, faculty and the community through outstanding collections and services. She oversees collection development and management for James Branch Cabell Library's rare book and art holdings, including nationally significant collections of comic arts and contemporary artists’ books. She also manages the university’s permanent collection of art, which was held by the Anderson Gallery until it closed in 2015. Prior to this appointment, Hibben served as the Collection Librarian for the Arts, building resources in all formats to advance VCU’s top-ranking School of the Arts. She has also taught studio art courses for Virginia Commonwealth, Drexel and Temple University. Hibben holds an M.S.L.S. from the Catholic University of America, an M.F.A. in sculpture from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, and a B.A. in fine arts from the College of William and Mary. She is a member of the Academy of Certified Archivists and is fluent in Japanese.
