As the inaugural appointment in 2015 to the new position of Learning Technologies Librarian, Rachel A. McCaskill is developing a comprehensive suite of online learning tools and environments designed to enhance information fluency and research skills. She also is an instructor for first-year students. She holds a Masters of Science in Library and Information Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from North Carolina Central University (Durham). Her research interests include diversity in academic libraries, advancing technology and innovation in teaching.
