Group study — all floors
Tompkins-McCaw Library has nine group study rooms. All are on the second floor and can be accessed either through journal stack Level E or by the stairwell in Pastore Memorial Exhibit Hall on the first floor.
Each room (except for 2-022) contains a computer, flat-screen monitor, power outlets, network and wireless connections and whiteboard or chalkboard. Rooms 2-025 and 2-026 also contain anatomical models.
Quiet study — First and Second Floors
- First Floor: Special Collections Reading Room
- Second Floor: Group study rooms and in the journal stacks in the center of the building
The Multimedia Collaboration Room, in the basement, is for viewing and editing multimedia.
Tompkins-McCaw Library offers one lactation room, located on the second floor. The room is outfitted with one Medela Symphony pump, a table and chairs.
Members of the VCU Community can reserve the room online during regular library hours including weekends. Once you have made your reservation online, you may check out the key from the library service desk on the first floor with your ID.
