Description

Charles Brownell, Ph.D., professor emeritus of art history at VCU, and Louise Brownell, registrar emerita at the Maryland Historical Society, return to VCU Libraries for another lecture on the historic architecture of the once glittering mansions on West Franklin Street. Artistic Mansions V features an exploration of VCU’s open-air museum of the Classical Orders of column. This year’s lecture will be hybrid (both in person and virtual). Following the lecture, the Brownells will offer tips for self-guided walking tours in the West Franklin Street vicinity.
