Lost and Found Services
VCU Libraries offers a Lost and Found service. Items in lost and found will be retained for 120 days; unclaimed items will be surplused. Library staff will make an attempt to contact the owner if sufficient identification is available, while respecting the owner’s privacy. Items left in lockers will be removed nightly at 2 a.m. or at closing and sent to Lost and Found.
Patrons at James Branch Cabell Library who find an item that may be lost should bring it to the Information Desk in the lobby. Questions? Call (804) 828-1111 or text (804) 435-5420. Items turned in will be photogaphed and submitted to Crowdfind, an online lost and found inventory.
Members of the VCU community can browse that online inventory in search of lost items.
Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences provides an in-house Lost and Found service. Patrons who find or lose an item should visit the Service Desk on the first floor for assistance. Questions? Call (804) 828-0636.
