VCU Libraries for alumni

Through a partnership with VCU Alumni, VCU Libraries provides alumni with free borrowing privileges for materials (books, DVDs and CDs) in the collection. Alumni also can obtain a VCU electronic ID that will also allow access to in-building desktop computers equipped with word processing, spreadsheet, email and other productivity software, as well as network access. Alumni can also use computers and some equipment in the multimedia The Workshop as long as their use does not infringe upon students’ work.

VCU Alumni: activate your free VCU Libraries borrowing privileges

Community members: Join the Friends of VCU Libraries at the $100 level for borrowing privileges

Alumni must also be signed up through VCU's alumni portal to get library access. It is a two-step process:

  1. Register/log in with VCU Alumni: www.vcualumni.org/Login/
  2. Register for alumni library access: www.vcualumni.org/private/vcu-libraries-access/

Please allow two weeks to receive a borrowing card and for activation of your borrowing privileges.
