Innovative Media hosts open forum on makerspace March 31

March 3, 2015

Continuing to work closely with students in making decisions about new library facilities and equipment, the Innovative Media department will be hosting an open forum March 31.

As part of the new Innovative Media Studio, VCU Libraries is developing a makerspace filled with hands-on technologies ranging from 3D printers to scanners, from laser cutters to crafts, from Arduinos and robotics to much more. The university community is invited to come learn about our plans so far, but more importantly, help us to shape the makerspace. It is your space.

The VCU Libraries Makerspace Open Forum will be held March 31, 6 to 7 p.m., in Cabell Library, Room 250.

For questions, please contact Eric Johnson, head of Innovative Media, at edmjohnson@vcu.eduor (804) 827-3594 prior to March 28.
