Kelly Gotschalk to lead fundraising at VCU Libraries

Kelly Gotschalk has been appointed Director of Development and Major Giving for the VCU Libraries, effective April 10, 2015.

In this role, Ms. Gotschalk will lead the growing fundraising efforts of the VCU Libraries, which is in the midst of a capital campaign for a new library building on the Monroe Park Campus. In addition to overseeing donor stewardship and annual giving, she will assume primary responsibility for major and capital giving from individuals, corporations and foundations in support of the VCU Libraries.

Ms. Gotschalk brings a broad knowledge and a record of success in capital and annual giving, and extensive experience in donor relations from her previous positions. As Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement with VCU’s School of Nursing since 2010, and previously as Assistant Director of Development at the School, she possesses a deep understanding of the VCU donor community, both locally and nationally, as well as excellent relationships with other fundraising staff at VCU. Prior to her work with the School of Nursing, she directed fundraising for the Crater Community Hospice in Colonial Heights and served as associate director of development for VCU’s College of Engineering, among other positions. She holds the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from VCU and the M.A. in Art History, also from VCU.
