"Food for Fines" benefits RamPantry

April 1, 2019

VCU Libraries will host a food drive April 21- May 12 to stock RamPantry @ VCU, which provides nutritious and culturally appropriate emergency food to VCU students.

In this case, generosity has an added benefit for people who owe fines or certain fees for library materials.

For each food item a person donates, VCU Libraries will waive $5 in fines up to a $30 maximum. To qualify: Materials must be returned. Fees for damaged and lost items will not be waived.

Bring food donation(s) to the Information Desk at James Branch Cabell or Tompkins-McCaw Library for the Health Sciences.

Not sure what to donate? Any kind of non-perishable food is acceptable. There is no limit to how many items you can donate.
