Library Fest introduces students to library services and spaces and provides key information about campus life

The annual Library fest open house takes place Monday, Aug. 19, 1 to 3 p.m. at James Branch Cabell Library. 

Part of Weeks of Welcome, Library Fest is designed to introduce students to library services and spaces and provide other essential information about campus safety and life. All are welcome. 

Participants can:  

  • Tour the library at 1, 1:30, 2, and 2:30 p.m.;
  • Sample food from VCU Dining Services;
  • Learn more about Special Collections and Archives;
  • Register your laptop with the VCU Police; 
  • Explore the media-rich The Workshop;
  • Talk with staff from varied campus units;
  • Collect giveaways and get a chance to win a Google Home starter kit or headphones.

Co-sponsors are VCU Libraries, VCU Dining Services, Techology Support Services Ramtech, Barnes & Nobel@VCU.

Partners are VCU Police, the Office of Sustainability, VCU Writing Center, Campus Learning Center, The Well, VCUcard, Education aAbroad, Student Accessiility and Education Opportunity.
