Stacey Wahl, Ph.D., works with students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty in the basic sciences at the VCU School of Medicine to enhance their research, scholarship, and teaching. She provides one-on one consultations, in-class and online instruction and special outreach programs including managing the How-to Talks by Postdocs series.
Before joining VCU Libraries in 2018, Stacey was an IRACDA Postdoctoral Fellow in the Biology department at VCU. During her time as a researcher, Stacey received multiple NIH grants and published several peer-reviewed manuscripts. Her teaching experience includes undergraduate courses at VCU and Virginia State and several presentations on molecular biology techniques, teaching pedagogy and neurodevelopment for undergraduate and graduates.
As a new librarian, her research interests are evolving as she engages in this profession. A topic of interest is the intersection of basic scientists and the library, specifically how perceptions affect interactions and consultations.
