3D Collage with Blender

Blender can be overwhelming to learn, especially in the span of an hour. This workshop will skip (most of) the theory and head straight for the playing. Using free images and models from the internet, we’ll mix and mash things together in 3D space. Then add some lights, cameras, and learn a few things from all the action.

Video games are one of the most popular forms of entertainment today, but game development remains one of the most gatekeeper-y of creative industries. This workshop breaks down those barriers by demonstrating a handful of free and approachable tools and resources for making video games, ranging from pixel-based adventures to 3D virtual worlds.

Communicating scientific and mathematical ideas in clear ways can be aided by visual representations like conceptual maps, figures, and diagrams but sometimes getting your images ready for publication can be more than a little cumbersome. This interactive workshop will cover design basics that are most useful for STEM-related fields. 

Making Maps Magical (and Meaningful)
