Ashley Brewer

As the Senior Web and User Experience Librarian, Ashley Brewer supervises the Libraries' web team and provides strategic management, vision and coordination for VCU Libraries' website, web applications and online systems. She conducts user research and assessment initiatives for the libraries’ digital properties and online experience to ensure their design and function centers the needs of VCU's diverse community. 

Brewer’s research and day-to-day interests include fostering openness, inclusion and humanity in technology; reparative and restorative design; and critical UX. 

Before joining VCU Libraries in 2017, Brewer served as the Online User Experience Librarian at Old Dominion University and Information Delivery Services Librarian, also at Old Dominion University.
