Matt Garrett

Matt Garrett joined the staff in 2023. He brought to VCU Libraries a well-rounded background in providing excellent customer service, searching databases, supervising, and working with different types of technology. He supports workflows for e-resources management, collaborating closely with team members and internal and external stakeholders to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex access issues. He provides assistance to library users who report issues regarding electronic serials and databases.  

Previously, he was a circulation supervisor and exhibition curator at Stetson University's DuPont Ball Library for four years. He also has three years’ experience as a gallery assistant and four years service in the U.S. Army as a Signals Intelligence Analyst.
