Valerie Glenn

As Business and Public Affairs Collections Librarian, Valerie Glenn takes a leadership role in developing, assessing, managing, and promoting collections in all formats. She works closely with other members of the collections team to develop policy and procedures to sustain and foster excellent teaching and research collections. Specific subject responsibilities include accounting, business administration, criminal justice, economics, finance, homeland security, information systems, management, marketing, political science, public administration, urban planning and related disciplines.

Prior to joining VCU Libraries, she most recently served as the Head, Map and Government Information Library and Map and Federal Regional Depository Librarian at the University of Georgia. Glenn has deep academic library experience working with many different types of collections in a variety of institutions. These include business, political science and government documents. In addition, she  has authored several articles, presented at national, regional, and state conferences, and served in professional organizations
