Hillary Miller

As a member of the Scholarly Communications and Publishing division, Hillary Miller supports and expands the university community’s understanding of copyright, open access and scholarly publishing and research impact.

She supports equitable access to research and educational materials through teaching, consultations and events.

Miller’s interests include copyright education for artists and creators, global perspectives on access to information, and science communication. Notable collaborations in programming include the Copyright for Creators series, Science Speak symposium, and OpenCon Virginia.

Before joining VCU Libraries in 2015, Miller served as an e-resources licensing assistant at UNC-Chapel Hill and as a digitization specialist at the Birmingham Public Library.
