Gabrielle (Gabby) Payton joined the VCU Libraries Development Office as Officer of Leadership Annual Giving and Corporate Support in 2022. She came to VCU from the Department of Housing and Community Redevelopment. She completed the Bachelor of Arts in political science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she worked as a student caller for the tele fund for three years as an undergrad, eventually becoming a manager for the program. She completed an internship with Church World Service and has studied Human Rights law and European business law in Lyon, France.
