Jenny Stout serves as a liaison to VCU’s Honors College and the Department of Focused Inquiry. Jenny collaborates with faculty in the Honors College and Focused Inquiry to provide effective course-integrated information literacy instruction, online tools and resources, research assistance, and other services for students in HONR 200, and UNIV 111, 112, 200, and 299. A teacher at heart, Jenny strives to connect with students to help them succeed academically, foster their curiosity, and enhance their college experience.

Jenny’s research interests include hiring and retention in academic libraries, equity and inclusion within the library profession, critical and feminist pedagogy, and assessment of library instruction. Jenny is committed to the values of freedom of access to information, anti-racism, affirmation of LGBTQ identities, intersectional feminism, and lifelong learning.
