Talicia Tarver

Talicia Tarver works with faculty, staff, and students of the College of Health Professions (CHP) to promote scholarship and research in each of the unique disciplines. Liaison support includes literature review consultations, assistance with systematic reviews and curriculum-integrated instruction.

Tarver’s main research interest involves nontraditional ways to teach health literacy, including games and comics. She is also interested in multimedia learning and has assisted instructional designers, as well as created online learning objects and guides to support online instruction for College of Health Professions curriculums.

With more than 10 years of health sciences library experience, Talicia graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2009 and worked for the LSU Health Shreveport Health Sciences Library for six years before accepting a position as a Research and Education Librarian for VCU Libraries at the Health Sciences Library.
