Subscription Cancellations

VCU Libraries announces journal cancellations to go into effect beginning in January, 2021. This process, announced in August, included feedback from faculty and data analysis of use of materials.

Restoration of funds by the university and reductions in cost for some journal packages by publishers eliminated the need for additional cancellations in the current fiscal year. VCU Libraries does expect to propose additional titles for cancellation for FY 2022 to cover unavoidable cost increases and will solicit feedback from the academic community before selecting the journals to cut. 

Subscriptions to these 94 publications will be cancelled beginning in January 2021.
